Sioux Falls is approximately 67.10 square miles in size and has an estimated population of 148,000 persons.
Major capital improvement projects scheduled for construction in 2008 include: construction of 57th Street from Cliff Avenue to Sycamore Avenue, construction of 85th Street from Louise Avenue to Minnesota Avenue, asphalt overlay and concrete rehabilitation projects, rail road relocation project, water purification plant filter upgrades, further eastside sanitary sewer construction, remodeling Fire Station #5, main library renovation and expansion, Drake Springs swimming pool replacement, continued construction of a softball complex at Harmodon Park, and further development of the Lewis and Clark Rural Water Supply Project.
